El Perfume De Yvonne aka The Scent Of Yvonne (1994) - A bewildered young man looks back into the embers of his past, trying to find some sense in what he has experienced. In 1958, he sought refuge in Switzerland to avoid the Algerian war, posing as a Russian count, Victor Chmara. In a hotel overlooking Lake Geneva he encountered the beautiful Yvonne, an aspiring actress. From that first meeting, Victor and Yvonne appeared to be the perfect match. Their happiness even brought some light into the life of an older man, René Meinthe, whose company they shared. How brief their new-found happiness proved to be.
